Operation Supply Drop teams up with video game leaders including Rooster Teeth, Wargaming America, Naughty Dog and ASTRO Gaming to raise awareness and funds to provide video game themed care packages for deployed military, and wounded soldiers in a fundraiser named the “8-Bit Salute”.

8-Bit Salute will feature a 24 hour gaming marathon on May 17-18 and all funds raised will go towards diversion and stress-relief to combat-zone troops and wounded military. The games played haven’t been announced nor if the event will be streamed, however you can donate at any time on the Operation Supply Drop website.

Wargaming, Naughty dog, and ASTRO Gaming have already pledged significant donations and will be assembling their own fundraising teams. According to the press, there will be prizes for the fans that participate.
