Mages of Mystralia Launches Kickstarter Today
God, I fucking love this guy’s beard.
Mages of Mystralia (by Borealys Games), voted best game at PAX South 2017, Best Indie Game at PAX East 2016, and Best Indie Art at PAX South 2016, has launched their Kickstarter campaign in hopes of polishing and adding features to take the game to the next level.
With only a goal of $18,787, this game is being funded quickly.
Mages of Mystralia is described as a mix between Zelda and Harry Potter. The user is set in a fantasy world with the ability to craft their own spells as they embark on an epic adventure written by the legendary Ed Greenwood (beard guy!)
To pre-order MoM, it’s only about $26 USD, with a cap of 200 backers. If you miss the early bird tier, you can just buy the game for about $30USD. Each full purchase gives you an HD wallpaper, a digital copy of the game, closed beta access, Digital OST, and a mention in the credits.
The game looks fantastic and the spell crafting seems to be on an advanced skill tree dynamic. You start with 4 basic spells and how you progressive is completely up to you. Check out the Kickstarter page for more in-depth explanations on the game.
