Cheers, love! The cavalry is here!
With the recent spark in interest over Sojourn, I just re-watched the Overwatch 2 cinematic reveal and it brought back all the feels. The personalities of Trace and Winston just seem to be such a bright spot in a world that isn’t so great.
Which brings even better news! A new comic featuring Tracer and illustrated by the New York Times bestselling comic artist Babs Tarr (Batgirl, Motor Crush) and written by the Eisner Award winner Mariko Tamaki (Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me, Lumber Janes) has launched today. You can view the first issue for free! via Dark Horse Digital and on PlayOverwatch.
London Calling will show Tracer, a spunky British girl who was the victim of a failed pilot experiment, zipping along the streets of London as she does, what I assume, what Tracer does best. Still can’t get enough Tracer? That’s ok! Because there are 4 more issues and #2-#5 will be released monthly with print issues coming just in time for Christmas starting December 2nd.
Alongside the London Calling comic series, Overwatch is hosting the Tracer Comic Challenge. Players can earn a brand-new epic skin, Comic Book Tracer, and other cosmetic goodies by winning games of Overwatch beginning tomorrow Sept. 15 – Sept. 28. The skin features original art from London Calling comic book issue. A variety of comic book themed sprays can be earned by watching Overwatch streamers on Twitch during the same period.
